About the role
Disklabs are the UK’s market leaders in digital forensics, with 25 years’ experience of delivering expertise into the public and private sectors. We are based in Tamworth, Staffordshire, in the heart of the Midlands, and due to a high demand from our clients, we are looking to expand our digital forensics team.
Building on your skills as an experienced mobile device analyst, you will be leading a technically capable team by example and be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of comprehensive investigative digital forensic services. Working in a modern open plan office/laboratory, you will have access to an extensive range of forensic tools support you and the team. Our partner clients are in law enforcement, Government agencies, global corporations, and legal teams.
Key duties include:
- Undertaking all aspects of the role of an experienced Mobile Device Forensic Analyst
- Collecting and analysing forensic data to provide detailed and clear reports on your findings, whilst adhering to and assisting in the maintenance and development of ISO standards across the team
- Working onsite & offsite, undertaking digital forensic investigations and services with a high level of client contact
- Managing your own and the team’s case work, analysis, and presentation of investigations and findings, highlighting potential challenges, resolving these or operational issues, whilst ensuring quality standards & deadlines are met
- Working closely with the management teams to ensure the Mobile Device Laboratory is using the most effective hardware, software and practices and recommending and implementing areas that can be improved upon
- Leading, managing, and coaching a team of analysts to successfully progress in their roles
- Proactively undertaking development of knowledge, skills and capabilities of yourself and the team in digital forensics
What you’ll need to succeed
- Be highly motivated with 5+ years’ experience as a Mobile Device Forensic Analyst
- Be highly experienced in digital evidence gathering and decision making, relating to large digital investigations, and managing multiple complex cases
- Have an excellent understanding of common operating systems within digital forensics
- Have excellent time management, planning and organisational skills•
- Be quality focussed, have an inquisitive mind and excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical issues in writing & verbally
- Be able to develop and lead people to ensure they are achieving their potential
- Previous people management experience is highly desirable but not essential
