About the role
Disklabs are the UK’s market leaders in digital forensics, with 25 years’ experience of delivering expertise into the public and private sectors. We are based in Tamworth, Staffordshire, in the heart of the Midlands, and due to a high demand from our clients, we are looking to expand our digital forensics team.
Working in a modern open plan office/laboratory, you will join a very technically capable team and will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of comprehensive investigative services. You will undertake digital forensic work on handheld devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and SatNavs. Our partner clients are in law enforcement, Government agencies, global corporations, and legal teams.
Key duties include:
- Collecting and analysing forensic data to provide detailed and clear reports on your findings, whilst adhering to and assisting in the maintenance and development of ISO standards
- Managing case work, presenting, and explaining findings, advising clients of further investigations and examination requirements
- Working onsite and offsite, imaging, triaging investigations, and undertaking analysis to assist clients and undertake the seizure of digital evidence
- Writing witness statements, reports & technical statements to a high standard, to be presented in court
- Attending court as an Expert Witness, giving testimony, and assisting legal teams
- Conducting bespoke analysis where a high level of expertise and knowledge may be required
- Maintaining and acquiring forensic knowledge to improve processes within your role
- Conducting peer reviews of analysts’ reports and work• Mentoring and supporting junior members of staff
What you’ll need to succeed
- Be highly motivated with 3+ years’ experience as a Mobile Device Forensic Analyst
- Be highly experienced digital evidence gathering and decision making, relating to large digital investigations, using industry standard tools and techniques
- Be able to work with precision, accuracy with high attention to detail
- Be quality focussed, have an inquisitive mind and excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical issues in writing & verbally
- Able to work independently, but also collaboratively as part of our team
