Just recently I unfortunately had the need to seek the services of a data recovery company. I chose Disklabs because your website seemed very straight forward and upfront. The online quotation system worked with no problems. I was also able to talk to an engineer late night on a saturday (sorry about that! I think you were enjoying a pint in your local at the time).

I had planned a surprise visit for my girlfriend who lives in LA, USA. I live in London and had been planning the surprise for some time, three months to be precise. All of her friends and family knew what was going on, all except her that is. The occasion was valentines day and her birthday which is on the 15th. The plan was to jump out of her best friends closet, dressed in a very expensive suit, tailored especially for the visit. We would spend two days in LA then two more in Vegas and our last two back in LA again. All went according to plan and she couldn't have been more surprised, pleasantly I must add! It was a surprise like no other, we both had a fantastic time. So I was pleased I had taken pictures of the whole thing with a digital camera.

So imagine my shock, anger and despair when I got home to the UK ready to download the shots only to find a memory chip that reported to be empty! Yes, I was not best pleased. I think the neighbours may have felt the tremors of my anger, (sorry guys).

I sent the memory chip to Disklabs. The very same day they received the chip they were working on it! Impressive I thought. I had great confidence in this company even though I had never used a data recovery company before. It was amazing to hear back from them that day! If I hadn't been at work when they called to tell me they had managed to get back 90% of the images I would have shouted for joy! Even more amazing is that I received the recovered data the very next day. What an amazing turn around! I hope I never ever have to use this company ever again. However if I ever need data recovery I would only use these guys!

I managed to loose all of my contacts, all my mail folders and mail archives while loading some drivers for a 3G datacard onto my laptop. I hadn't backed my information up for sometime and it was the most recent mails and contacts that I needed most urgently. The 3G operators support team were less than helpful. It was Friday night and I was frantic when another member of The Reg team recommended DiskLabs to me so I called them. They seemed to have quite a few big jobs on over the weekend but were able to offer immediate advice and squeezed me in. They kept me up to date during the repair and had my laptop back to within 48 hrs. Everything was completely restored to how it had been before my accident. The most complicated thing was organising the courier! If you have to recover mission critical data in hurry then I would recommend that you speak to DiskLabs. several people had tried to retrieve it for me but obviously had no success. Also thanks for reducing the price for me it was still a lot of money for a few photos but very competitive with other similar firms. the customer service was great and thanks very much for sending me a DVD ROM so that I could read the data you sent me it could have been a DVD writer though (Just Kidding). I have not had a chance to down load all my photos from the disc yet but I believe they are all there so thanks again.

This is just to place it on record that I am indebted to your company for the professional service that they showed during a moment of crisis.

Whilst photographing with a wedding on the 19 th August, 2004, I found that a micro drive card had been corrupted loosing over 180 raw images which covered the ceremony & family groups (which were all taken 3-4 times for good expressions). Although other micro drives were used the significant problem was with this one card.

I have been a digital photographer for over 5 years, and I have never had a significant problem like this previously.

I am pleased that on a Sunday I was able to talk to you via your emergency line to get appropriate advice & reassurance to forward the card forthwith to the Company.
